A stock market is a public entity for the trading of company stock at an agreed price, which are securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. Many invest in various companies, and some make big money.

The PTSS-INVEST Stock Market Simulator is an interactive learning experience that allows students to invest RM 100,000 virtually to see how they would perform if they were to make the same choices on real stock exchanges.

In this simulator, it gives you some experience with trading. For those who are not familiar with the stock market, this is the correct place to learn more about it.

What is the PTSS-INVEST Stock Market Simulator?
The PTSS-INVEST Stock Market Simulator is a stock market simulation game designed by the PTSS-INVEST Stock Market Simulator Team. The PTSS-INVEST Stock Market Simulator was first launched in 2009 and just using paper and forms.

In 2010, the game was rebuilt to make it paperless. In March 2012, this stock market simulation was attending the Innovation Competition in Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, Perlis.

When does the game start? 
This game will run on early of every semester. It is being used for "Investment Management" students.

Who can play?
This simulator is focusing on Investment Management students. By the way, anyone can play! There is no charge to participate in the game. In near future, after this system can run well, there is a competition for PTSS students and lecturer

What is shorting(short selling)?
Check out other investment page for more information on shorting, but in this simulation game, we are following Bursa Malaysia rules which is short selling are prohibited.

Minimum Unit of stock trading
Every investor must follow the rules from Bursa Malaysia and Securities Commission which is, for every trade, investor must buy/sell at minimum 100 units of shares.

How do the commission fees work?

 A RM10.00 commission fee is added to every buy order and subtracted from every sell order.

For example, if you were to buy 100 shares at RM10 a share, the total cost of the transaction would be RM 1010. If you were to then sell the same 100 shares the next day at RM 15 a share, you would receive RM 1490. Your total profit from this transaction would be RM 480. Similarly, commissions are added to stop orders at the time the order is fulfilled.

Who works on game development?
The PTSS-INVEST was designed and is maintained by Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Commerce Departmet lecturers. In the most recent revision of the game, Anas Rizuan, Tengku Aroal Hawa Delaila and Azzamurni worked together to develop new features in this simulator.
